Privacy Policy

Empire of Dice · last updated 2 September 2026

Empire of Dice is a hex wargame. You can play it without giving us anything at all. An account is only needed for online multiplayer, and the little we keep is listed below in full.

Playing without an account

Pass & Play, the tutorial and games against the computer opponents need no account and no sign-in. Your game is saved in your own browser or phone and is never sent anywhere.

What we collect, if you make an account

We do not collect your name, your address, your phone number, your contacts, your photos, your location, or anything from other apps on your device.

Advertisements

The free version shows an advertisement break during play. On the phone apps these come from Google AdMob, which may use your device's advertising identifier to choose what to show and to measure it. That identifier belongs to your device, not to us: we never see it, store it, or connect it to your account.

The first time a break is actually due, the app asks your permission before serving a personalised advertisement. If you decline, the game carries on and you see non-personalised ones instead. You can change your mind at any time in your phone's settings, and you can reset or delete the identifier there as well.

Google's own handling of that data is covered by Google's privacy policy. When no advertisement can be fetched, on a plane or with no signal, the break shows one of our own animations instead, which involves no third party at all.

Paying to remove the advertisements

One thing is for sale: removing the advertisements from your account, for a single payment. We never see or store your card.

If you send a bug report

The report carries what the game was doing at the time: a short technical log, which board you were on, and what device and browser you are using. It is sent only when you press Send, and it is used only to fix the fault.

Who else sees any of this

We do not sell your information, and we do not share it for advertising. It is handled by the services that make the game work and by nobody else: our hosting and database provider, our email provider (only to send you a message you asked for), Google AdMob for advertisements, and Stripe, Apple, Google or RevenueCat for a payment you chose to make.

How long we keep it

Your account and its games are kept while the account exists. Ask us to delete it and it goes, along with your email address and your games, except where a payment record has to be kept for tax and accounting reasons.

Children

Empire of Dice is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them. If you believe a child has made an account, write to us and we will remove it.

Your choices

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top changes with it. A change that affects what we collect will be announced in the game rather than made quietly.
